New Art & Collaborations
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our third Intergenerational Arts Program! The Floating Voices Intergenerational Project is back, bringing together young and older generations to create meaningful art that reflects the rich maritime history and heritage of our local community. Through these workshops, participants collaborate to design large-scale visual pieces, inspired by the ideas shared in each session.
This year, students from Tramore’s Ardscoilnamara are joining adults with learning difficulties from The Meeting Place in a celebration of native flowers found along our rivers and coastlines. Led by our in-house artist, MJ Jacob, these workshops are more than just art-making—they’re about fostering creativity across generations and exploring the beauty of nature together.
A Special Guest: Ciclope Arrives in Waterford!
We’re beyond excited to welcome Ciclope, the renowned Argentinian street artists, to Waterford for the very first time! Ciclope is currently working on a breathtaking 200-square-meter mural that blends their signature floral designs with ideas from our local participants. This masterpiece will soon transform Catherine Street, adding a vibrant new piece of art to our city’s landscape.

Looking Ahead: Osprey Boat Tours & Eco Barge Dreams
This October, we’re hosting a steering group meeting aboard the Osprey Boat Tours. We’ll be gathering with six to eight of Waterford’s top creative minds to discuss the future of the Floating Voices Project and explore new ways to attract investment and expand its reach. Big thanks to Harbourmaster Johnny Codd for his fantastic support on this project.
In other exciting news, Edel and Rob from Pro Lines Naval Architecture are working on plans for our very own eco barge! Their focus for the last 3 weeks has been on the eco-fitting to make it a zero carbon emissions barge. This project is set to be something truly special. We’ll be sharing more details in our next blog entry, so stay tuned!
