The sun is finally shining, and here’s hoping it’s here to stay!

As we soak up the brighter days, we want to take a moment to send a huge thank you to everyone who supported our Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to raise €200,000 for the Floating Voices barge.

While we didn’t reach our goal this time, the overwhelming support and enthusiasm we received have reignited our determination to bring this project to life. Floating Voices is moving forward, and we’re more motivated than ever to secure the funding needed to build the barge.

A Floating Garden for Communities

One of the most exciting elements of the barge’s design is its floating garden—a key environmental resource we want to share with communities across Ireland. This garden will feature plants that naturally filter dirty water, helping to purify it while also acting as a flood prevention system using indigenous species. We’ve drawn inspiration from projects around the world, including the incredible floating gardens of London, featured in the image above.

In the coming months, we’ll be sharing exciting updates on our progress, new funding opportunities, and ways to get involved.
