It’s all about the Birds and the Bees!

Let’s talk about the Birds and the Bees!

As May rolls in and summer approaches, Street Art Ink is buzzing with activity! From commissions across the country to celebrating biodiversity and sustainability, here’s a glimpse into what we’ve been up to lately.

Have you spotted any ladybirds in your garden yet?

In Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny, they’re hard to miss, especially with Dan Leo’s vibrant mural adorning the local community center. Dan’s artwork, inspired by the theme of biodiversity, was a project funded by Kilkenny County Council. It’s a proud display of the council’s commitment to promoting the importance of nature and sustainability.

Fun fact: Dan used a machine called a spider to create this stunning piece!

Celebrating Bees with SANOFI

SANOFI employee Benny Tyler reached out to us to commission two mural art pieces showcasing SANOFI’s commitment to nature and biodiversity. With raised beds, wildflowers, and a thriving bee population on their grounds, SANOFI’s dedication to sustainability is inspiring. We chose Juliette Viode for this project, known for her breathtaking floral designs that adorn schools across the country. Her work is currently transforming two sheds at SANOFI, spreading the buzz of excitement throughout the company. Who wouldn’t want a touch of nature like this in their own backyard?

Upcoming Murals

The demand for our commissioned artwork is soaring, with projects lined up in Galway, Laois, and Waterford. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to bring art and nature together in communities across the country.

As summer approaches, let’s celebrate the beauty of nature and the impact of art in fostering environmental awareness. Until next time!
